Israel-Gaza War: Tom Fletcher, the humanitarian head of the United Nations, has warned that if the help does not reach, 14,000 children can be killed inside Gaza in the next 48 hours. Tom Fletcher said that five trucks went to Gaza yesterday to help, but they described it as “a drop in the sea” and described it as completely insufficient for the needs of the population. According to the BBC report, he said that Laoris carrying help, including infant food and nutrition, are technically in Gaza, but have not reached the citizens as they are on the other side of the border.
He was asked how the United Nations reached this figure, he replied: “We have strong teams on the ground – and of course many of them are killed … We still have a lot of people on the ground – they are in medical centers, they are in schools … they are trying to assess the needs.”
