The Mumbai Police has taken major action and arrested 20 Bangladeshi citizens. 14 teams of Dongri Police have raided Mumbai and surrounding areas and caught these people. Zone 1 DCP Praveen Mundhe said that he had received secret information, on the basis of which a Bangladeshi citizen was arrested. Based on the information received from it, 14 teams were formed and raided at places like Mumbai, Mankhurd, Vashi Naka, Kalamboli, Panvel, Kokrakharan, Kalyan, Mumbra etc.
Investigation revealed that one of those arrested, Akbar Ayub Ali Sheikh (40 years), was arrested by the police in 2008. A case was registered under the Indian Passport Act and in 2009, the court found him guilty. After this, he was deployed to Bangladesh. However, only a few days after the departed, he came back to India and started hiding.
Documents are made by marrying Indians
Investigation has also revealed that some Bangladeshi citizens come to India and marry the citizens here. Bangladeshi women use their husband’s name and men to make documents using their father -in -law’s name. In a similar case, one arrested Bangladeshi citizen’s wife is Indian and MHADA’s house was also engaged in her mother -in -law’s name. After this matter came to light, the police has become even more alert and is preparing to take action against such people.
