The Chamoli police has released the list of names of 55 workers trapped in Mana. According to State Disaster Management Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman, 33 laborers have been rescued. According to the list released by Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority, the trapped workers are from many states including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir.
Due to heavy rains in Chamoli late night, debris has come on the Badrinath National Highway in Animath and Paganala, due to which the route has been blocked. The Chamoli police say that the work of removing debris from all places is going on. Soon the path will start walking smoothly.
How did laborers buried under snow in Mana?
This incident of Evely in Chamoli took place around 7.15 am on Friday morning. According to the information, all 57 laborers were sleeping in the container. During this time an icy storm came there and the container covered with snow. Then these laborers were buried under snow. The accident took place in Mana village of Chamoli, about 3 km from Badrinath.
CM Pushkar Dhami will go to Badrinath
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has been constantly monitoring the ongoing rescue operation after the avalanche incident in Dhami Mana. Today, he will go to Badrinath and know the condition of the workers and will take stock of the search operation being run by ITBP and army.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami once again reached the State Disaster Operations Center late Friday and reviewed the rescue operations. He directed the Air Force helicopter in rescue operations as well as the state government agency ‘Yukada’ and the helicopter of private companies to be included in the rescue operations from Saturday morning. He said that whatever will be possible for the safe return of every worker, we will do it.
