Nurul Hasan, Barishal vs Rangpur: The 13th match of Bangladesh Premier League 2025 was played on January 9, 2025 between Fortune Barishal and Rangpur Riders in Sylhet. Where Rangpur team managed to win by three wickets due to the charismatic performance of its captain Nurul Hasan in the lower order. For a moment during the match, it seemed that the Rangpur team would lose the match. But Nurul led his team to victory by batting brilliantly in the over of Kyle Mayers who came to bowl the 20th over of the innings for Fortune.

Caribbean all-rounder Kyle Mayers, who came to bowl the last over of the innings for Fortune Barishal, was very expensive. For the team, he gave away a total of 30 runs in this over with the help of three sixes and three fours. Because of which Fortune Barishal’s team lost the winning game. Nurul Hasan hit sixes on the first, fourth and sixth balls of Mayers’ over, while he managed to hit fours on the second, third and fifth balls.

Rangpur Riders won by three wickets
Talking about the result of the match, after losing the toss in Sylhet and batting first, Fortune Barishal’s team managed to score 197 runs at the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Batting at number three, Kyle Mayers was the top scorer for the team. He played an unbeaten half-century of 61 runs in 29 balls at a strike rate of 210.34. Apart from them, Captain Tamim Iqbal managed to contribute 40 runs in 34 balls and Nazmul Hussain Shanto managed to contribute 41 runs in 30 balls.
Rangpur Riders achieved the target of 198 runs set by the opposition team at the loss of seven wickets on the last ball. During the match, Pakistani batsmen Iftikhar Ahmed and Khushdil Shah batted fiercely. Both these players contributed 48-48 runs respectively.
Iftikhar and Khushdil certainly played excellent innings, but Captain Nurul Hasan did the work of leading the team to victory. Batting at sixth position, he faced only seven balls. Meanwhile, he managed to score 32 unbeaten runs at a strike rate of 457.14.
