The process of removing the illegal encroachment of the second phase started from today in Chandola area of Ahmedabad in Gujarat, in which illegal encroachments are being removed from more than 2.5 lakh square meters. In view of this, more than 3000 police personnel have been deployed on the spot. DCP Ravi Mohan Saini said that the second phase of removing illegal encroachment in Chandola area has started from today. 25 companies of SRP, 3000 policemen have been deployed. All constructions in this area are illegal, so they are being removed.

Earlier, the first phase of this campaign started on 29 and 30 April. During this time about 3 thousand illegal houses were demolished. Most illegal Bangladeshi citizens were living in these 3000 houses. Now in the second phase, there is a target to demolish about two and a half thousand houses. Joint Police Commissioner (Crime) Sharad Singhal said, ‘The second phase has started from today. All senior officials are present on the spot. I hope the public is also supporting us. This work is being completed very peacefully.
