Actor Rohit Roy first faced the camera as Rishabh Malhotra in Doordarshan’s blockbuster serial ‘Swabhimaan’. Directed by Mahesh Bhatt, this serial has completed 30 years of release. Rohit made a big announcement on this occasion. Rohit told that the sequel of this drama ‘Swabhimaan 2’ is coming soon. Sharing some memorable glimpses with the serial, Rohit wrote on his Instagram handle, “Today is my birthday. Of course, my professional birthday. 30 years ago today, on April 6, 1995, on April 6, 1995, Swabhiman was released on Doordarshan and created a panic in the whole country. Rishabh Malhotra was born from here.”

Thanking fans for love, Rohit wrote, “Love is raining even after 3 decades. I can never thank my fans for their constant love and affection. 30 years to love someone is a long time and I will always be grateful to him for this. I will never be able to pay your debt in this lifetime. I am whatever I am today and your love.”

Announcing the sequel to the popular television serial, Rohit said, Swabhimaan 2 is coming soon. Although the details of the sequel are not yet available, it will be exciting to see how the story progresses and whether Rohit is seen playing his role as Rishabh Malhotra in it. ‘Swabhimaan’ was a story revolving around the life of Svetlana (Kitu Gidwani), a beautiful woman.

Abhimanyu Singh, Anju Mahendru, Deepak Parashar, Nishi Malhotra, Kunika, Channa Ruparel, Vinod Pandey, Prabha Sinha and Sheetal Thakkar were among the lead actors of the project.
