YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) parliamentary party leader and party general secretary V. Vijayasai Reddy on Friday announced his retirement from politics. Announcing his resignation from Rajya Sabha membership, Vijayasai Reddy clarified that he is not joining any political party.

YSRCP president and former chief minister Y.S. Vijayasai Reddy, a close aide of Jagan Mohan Reddy and financial advisor to the YSR family, said that his decision is completely personal.

Vijayasai Reddy said in a post on social media platform I will always be indebted to the YS family, which has supported me for four decades and three generations.”

Vijayasai Reddy wrote, “I will always be grateful to YS Jagan Garu, who gave me the opportunity to serve as a Rajya Sabha member twice, and especially to Bharatamma Garu, who helped me reach new heights in the political arena. I pray to God to bless Jagan garu with good health, immense success, everlasting happiness and a bright future.”

Vijayasai Reddy died in a helicopter crash in 2009 along with his father and former Chief Minister Y.S. Became close to Jagan after the death of Rajasekhara Reddy (YSR).

Vijayasai Reddy further said that as leader of the parliamentary party, leader of the House in the Rajya Sabha and national general secretary of the YSRCP, “I have worked tirelessly with honesty and without any compromise” for the benefit of the party and the state. It has worked as a bridge between the Center and the State to maintain cordial relations and obtain maximum benefits for the State.

Expressing his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, he said that their support in the last nine years has given him strength and recognition in the Telugu states. He said he may have political differences with TDP, but has no personal issues with Chandrababu Naidu and his family. Friendship with Pawan Kalyan is forever. Vijayasai Reddy, who started his career as a chartered accountant, revealed that his focus in future will be agriculture.

He said that I sincerely thank the people of my state, my friends, colleagues, party workers and all those who supported me in my long political journey. I am grateful to all of you.

Vijayasai Reddy, who was close to the YSR family since the 1980s and became a key aide of Jagan after YSR’s death, was named by the CBI as accused number two in the disproportionate assets cases registered against Jagan in 2012. Was named.
