AIADMK changed the alliance, there is no coalition with BJP in Tamil Nadu


The AIADMK of Tamil Nadu on Tuesday announced that if its coalition wins the election, no ‘coalition government’ will be formed in the state if its alliance wins the election for next year’s Tamil Nadu elections. The comments of AIADMK chief Edappadi’s Palaniswami (EPS) suggest that the Tamil party does not want a coalition government and the alliance with the BJP is “for the election”. This statement has come at a time when there are reports that some leaders of AIADMK are unhappy with the alliance with BJP. The reason for this unhappiness stems from both bad track records in the 2019 assembly and 2024 Lok Sabha elections in the state. The AIADMK has changed its stand even in view of the possible loss of votes of minority communities, including Muslims, in view of protests against alleged protests against changes in Waqf laws.

Anti -Waqf sentiments in Tamil Nadu are in full swing. Tamil actor -turned -politician Vijay’s party Tamilga Vatri Kazhagam has also challenged the new Waqf laws in the Supreme Court. DMK is already opposing it.

On April 12, BJP again joined hands with AIADMK after 2 years. For this, State BJP President Annamalai had to step down after 4 years. Why Annamalai was removed

Let us tell you that Annamalai left the post so that the alliance of BJP-AIADMK can be formed in the state. During the 2024 Lok Sabha election campaign, AIADMK leader Palaniswami called Annamalai hungry for campaigning. At that time, the war of words was seen between the two. Who is Annamalai

40 -year -old Annamalai, who came to politics from a police officer, is known for his journey in his ‘N Mana N Makkal’ (my land, my people) in the state. According to the tradition of the party, his predecessor and current Union Minister L. Murugan took out the ‘Well Yatra’ and the first former Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan took out the ‘Thhamrai Yatra’ across the state. Annamalai did electoral politics from Arvakurichi constituency in Karur district in the 2021 assembly elections but failed. He also contested the 2024 Lok Sabha elections but did not win.
