Amid controversy over demand for re-exam, BPSC released CCE Pre results, 21581 candidates passed.

New Delhi:
Amid the controversy over the demand for re-exam, BPSC has released the results of CCE Pre. 21581 candidates have been successful in this. Students are continuously agitating in Patna demanding re-conduct of BPSC 70th examination.

The CCE exam conducted by BPSC on December 13 last year has been embroiled in controversy due to allegations of question paper leak.

The exam was held on 13th December

BPSC 70th examination was conducted on 13 December in different examination centers of Bihar. After this, re-exam of 12 thousand candidates was organized on January 4.

However, on one hand the government has rejected the allegations. But the Commission had conducted the examination again for more than 12,000 candidates at a center in Patna. The protesters have said this is against the principle of ‘equal opportunity’.

Students are protesting demanding cancellation of BPSC preliminary exam

BPSC candidates, who are protesting in Gardanibagh of Patna, are demanding complete cancellation of BPSC Preliminary Examination (PT) and re-conduct of the examination. The students also want to meet Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on this issue. He says that he wants to meet Chief Minister Nitish Kumar regarding his demands and inform him about the entire matter, because he is not aware of the entire matter.

It is noteworthy that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi had also met the BPSC candidates who were agitating for a month in Gardanibagh. He sat with them at the protest site and listened to them. The Congress leader told the candidates that I am with you, wherever you say, you will find Rahul Gandhi standing with you.

Case regarding 70th BPSC exam is in Supreme Court

The matter regarding the 70th BPSC examination is now in the Supreme Court. This demand of the students has received support from many political parties. Earlier, Congress leader Rajeev Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, Jan Suraj chief Prashant Kishore and many other leaders had reached the students’ protest.

Also, a public interest litigation has been filed in the Supreme Court on Tuesday, declaring the appointment of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) Chairman Manubhai Parmar illegal. The petition filed by advocate Brajesh Singh challenged the appointment, saying it was against the constitutional provision according to which only people with ‘clean character’ should be appointed as chairpersons or members of Public Service Commissions.

Case on appointment of BPSC Chairman in Supreme Court

According to the PIL, Parmar was an accused in an alleged corruption case registered by the Vigilance Bureau of Bihar and the case was pending before a special judge in Patna. “Thus, clearly, respondent number two (Parmar) is facing serious allegations of corruption and fraud and hence his integrity is doubtful,” the petition said. Therefore, he should not be appointed as the Chairman of BPSC.
