
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Wednesday that the decision of the Union Cabinet to construct a six -lane Greenfield National Highway connecting Chowk in Maharashtra to JNPA ports will strengthen the country’s ‘fast -growing’ blue economy and will hold development and speed around Mumbai and Pune. Reacting to several decisions taken by the cabinet on Wednesday, Shah also said that the approval of the new brownfield ammonia-yaarya complex in the name of Assam will promote the rural economy, as it will provide adequate supply of fertilizer and increase the capacity of the Northeast as an exporter.
The Home Minister wrote on ‘X’ that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has communicated new energy in our maritime industry by approving the construction of a 6-lane greenfield high speed national highway from JNPA Port to Chowk in Maharashtra today. He said that this decision will accelerate our growing blue economy by increasing the freight capabilities of the ports, as well as freshly promoted development around Mumbai and Pune. In another post, Shah said that today in the Union Cabinet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nominal (region) congratulations on the approval of the new Brownfield Ammonia-Yuria Complex in the name of Assam. He said that I express my heartfelt gratitude for Modi ji’s visionary decision. Shah also thanked the Prime Minister for approving the incentive scheme for the purpose of promoting Bhima-UPI transactions at the Union Cabinet meeting.
