Andhra Pradesh government admitted that the allegations against Adani Group are false! Chandrababu Naidu said – no action until there is evidence

Regarding the baseless allegations made in America against Adani Group company Adani Green Energy Ltd., Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has said that until concrete evidence is not found in this matter, Till then no action will be taken. This matter is related to electricity supply in Andhra Pradesh, in which Adani Green has got the contract as per the prescribed rules.

Chandrababu Naidu had talked about action in the Assembly on the allegations of bribery related to the previous government of the state. However, immediately after the US Justice Department and US-SEC made the allegations, it started being criticized from all sides and it soon became clear that these allegations were baseless and absurd.

Now Andhra Pradesh government is also assuming that these allegations have no substance. According to ET report, CM Chandrababu Naidu told the media in Vijayawada on Tuesday evening that no action can be taken in this case until concrete evidence is found and the allegations are confirmed.

Even then I had said – we will think, we will see!

After allegations surfaced regarding this contract given during the previous government of YS Jaganmohan Reddy, CM Naidu had said that he will look into the matter. He had said in his statement, ‘More facts are yet to come to light. The government is also thinking about what steps should be taken because as we speak, facts are coming to light. We will take stock of the situation, see what needs to be done, and take action accordingly.

The question of ‘state credibility’

On Tuesday, Naidu said, ‘If I had to take action against Jaganmohan Reddy on this issue, it would have been a ‘Laddu moment’ for me. But I do not indulge in politics of revenge. This is the difference between TDP and YSRCP. He said, ‘This is a question of credibility of the state government.’

Let us tell you that this contract related to power supply in Andhra Pradesh was given through the government company Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). SECI had signed power purchase agreements for 4,666 MW with Adani Green Energy (AGEL) and 2333 MW with Azure Power. Later, due to Azure’s withdrawal, this capacity was also transferred to AGEN.
