Washington:
US President Donald Trump has warned Iran that strict action will be taken against him if he does not agree on the nuclear deal. According to NBC News, Trump said in an interview that if Iran does not deal, then the bombing will be done.
Trump said in an interview to NBC News that if Iran is not ready for the agreement, it will be bombing against him as he would have never seen before. This warning has come at a time when tension between Washington and Tehran has increased over Iran’s nuclear program. Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has rejected Trump’s proposal, saying that Iran will not talk with bully governments.
Trump’s warning came in response to a letter sent by Iran’s supreme leader to Iran’s supreme leader, stating that Tehran would not have a direct talk with Washington. In a address on television, Porashakian said that we do not avoid the conversation. But this is a promise which has created problems for us till now. They have to prove that they can establish confidence.
Earlier in March, Trump wrote a letter to Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warning that Tehran would have to either agree to negotiate afresh or face military conflicts.
The US separated itself from the agreement in 2018 and banned under the policy of ‘maximum pressure’. The ban came into force to all countries and companies trading with Iran and separated Tehran from the international financial system, making the economic provisions of the nuclear agreement zero.
The conversation to re -implement the JCPOA began in April 2021 in Vienna, Austria. Despite several rounds of talks, no significant success has been achieved since the final round of talks in August 2022.
