Famous sitar player and composer Anushka Shankar has received two nominations in the Grammy Awards this time. Anushka’s solo album ‘Chapter 2’ has been nominated under the Best New Age, Ambient or Chant Album category. Apart from this, he has also been nominated in the category of Best Global Performance for his ‘A Rock Somewhere’, in which he has collaborated with Jacob Collier and Varijashree Venugopal. Anushka Shankar, daughter of the legendary sitar player Ravi Shankar of the history of Indian music, has been nominated for the Grammy Awards a total of 11 times so far.
