UK culture, media and sports minister Lisa Nandi expressed a few moments of silence, condolences to those killed in the Pahalgam terror attack and expressed deep condolences on behalf of the British government. In a joint program organized by his ministry and London -based Indian High Commission on Wednesday evening, Nandi said that this is a very difficult time, because the world is facing the impact of “horrific terrorist attacks”.

Nandi said, “To kill the innocent people in this way is a tragedy that is beyond the boundaries. I want to express deep condolences to the victims and their families on behalf of the UK government and give full support to the steps to be taken for justice and peace.

He said, “The relations between India and Britain have always been strong and deep and in such a time friends, friends matter. As the Prime Minister has already said, we express deep condolences and we are standing with you in this hour of grief.
