India also called for ensuring adequate security of places of worship in view of the incident.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said that the government has seen the news of the incident of improving a Hindu temple in Chinese Hills, California and “We condemn such disgusting acts in strong words.”

He said, “We call on local law enforcement officers to take strict action against those responsible for these acts and ensure adequate security of the places of worship.” Jaiswal was answering the questions of journalists on the incident.
