Chopra said on his YouTube channel Akashvani, “The biggest question is whether Rohit’s decision of not playing in Sydney was right? I think this decision was right because the team was not benefiting. The reason was that Rohit was searching for form and it had been a long time, three series including the last two. The former opener said, “Rohit has also done something in his career that makes me think about myself. This happened in the last Test, when Rohit decided to start the innings at MCG, but in this role too, Rohit failed to score runs. And when this happens, then you just say leave it friend, enough is enough. Now I will take whatever decision is right for the team.”

Chopra said, “Rohit has done such a thing many times. When it was Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s 200th match, then Rohit said that Mahi, you should take the captaincy. After that there was an Asia Cup match against Afghanistan. Then runs from Virat’s bat. In such a situation, Rohit started the innings and scored his 71st century. Rohit has taken such decisions in the interest of the team. But MCG “They thought for themselves and quickly realized that this was not right.”

The former opener said, “But my question is that when the decision regarding this was already taken, then why was it not informed about it. Why do different news come out with reference to sources or media? Some newspaper or some If someone is writing something.”, Akash said, it would have been better to officially inform in advance that Rohit is not playing in the Sydney Test. This would have meant that everyone would have celebrated it. It is very rare that a captain decides to sit out of the XI due to form. Captains come to the upper order, come down, but no one sits outside. But Rohit has set a great example.
