BCCI Awards: Jaspreet Bumrah will get ‘Poly Umrigar’ Award, read which Award is being received at a glance

ICC’s best female ODI cricketer Mandhana scored 743 runs in 2024. He scored four ODI centuries, which is the record of the highest century in a year in the ODI format of women. He set up more than a hundred boundaries last year which includes 95 fours and six sixes. The 28 -year -old cricketer scored an average of 57.86 in the ODI matches and an impressive strike rate of 95.15.

Legendary spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who retired from international cricket in December as India’s second and eighth best bowler with 537 wickets in Test cricket, was selected for a special award. 37 -year -old Ashwin, who made his debut in Test cricket in November 2011, played an important role in India’s dominance for 12 years in the long format, during which the team won 18 consecutive series. Among the new players, Mumbai batsman Sarfaraz Khan was selected for the best international debut in the men’s category for a fiery half -century against England in the Rajkot Test in February 2024.

The middle -order batsman also played 150 runs against New Zealand in the Bengaluru Test. Asha Shobhana in the women’s category won the best international debut for taking four wickets for 21 runs in the first ODI against South Africa in June 2024. India won this match by 143 runs. Mandhana will also be awarded the ODI medal for scoring the most runs. He scored 747 runs in 13 matches at an average of 57.46 thanks to four centuries and a half -century.

Similarly, Deepti Sharma will be awarded the ODI medal for taking the highest number of 24 wickets in 13 matches. Tanush Kotian was selected for the BCCI Domestic Tournament Trophy for the best performance in domestic cricket in the 2023-24 season. Kotian performed brilliantly for Mumbai in the 2023-24 season, due to which he first got a place in the India ‘A’ team on a tour of Australia and then he made it to India’s senior team for the last two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

The 26-year-old all-rounder performed brilliantly during Mumbai’s 42nd Ranji Trophy title in 2023-24, scoring 29 wickets in 10 matches and scored 502 runs at an average of 41.83 with the help of a century and five half-centuries. Mumbai also won the Iranian Trophy after 27 years after winning the 42nd Ranji title to increase the records in the last session.

Mumbai Cricket Association to win title like Ranji Trophy, Under-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy, Under-14 Western Region Trophy, Senior Women T20 Trophy, Women Under-19 ODI Trophy, Bapuna Cup T20 tournament and men’s Under-19 All India Tournament The BCCI was selected for the Domestic Tournament Trophy.

Mumbai team was also runner-up in Cooch Behar Under-19 Trophy and Veenu Mankad Under-19 Trophy. Akshay Totre of Indore was selected for the Best Umpire Award at the domestic cricket session. Great batsman Sachin Tendulkar was selected for Colonel CK Naidu Lifetime Achievement Award.
