Uttar Pradesh MLA Abbas Ansari has got a big relief from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has granted interim bail to Ansari in the UP Gangster Act. After this, Ansari will be able to be released from jail. The Supreme Court has also put some conditions on Ansari’s petition on Friday.
During the hearing, the Supreme Court said that Ansari’s conduct will be evaluated during interim bail. Also, the court has sought a status report from the police in 6 weeks. After the report, the Supreme Court will consider bail.
Criminal Judgment Relief oriented: Justice Suryakant
During the hearing, Justice Suryakant said how long he would remain in jail. Our criminal jurisprudence is also relief oriented and we release him on interim bail to evaluate the petitioner’s conduct while on bail. During this, Ansari has been granted interim bail with some conditions.
Ansari is given interim bail with these conditions:
- Will stay in government residence in Lucknow.
- Whenever needed, visit your constituency with prior permission from the District Police Administration and District Court.
- Special judges will not leave Uttar Pradesh without the prior permission of the trial court.
- No public statements in relation to cases under consideration. His right to rescue will remain unaffected.
- Sessions Court, present bail bonds for satisfaction of Chitrakoot.
- Immediate or in any other case, be present before the trial court, for which he should inform the officers a day in advance.
Ansari sought bail in the case registered against him under Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti -Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 198.
