An 18 -year -old student was allegedly shot dead by his elder brother in Nehru Nagar area of the national capital Delhi on Thursday. Police said that Abhishek Aman, who fired, took Akshay Kashyap to Safdarjung Hospital and then escaped. However, the history -sheeter Abhishek was later arrested.
Police said that at 6:10 am, someone was informed about the bullet from the hospital and a team was sent on the spot from Lajpat Nagar police station. A police officer said, “The report said that Akshay was admitted to the hospital due to bullets, which later died during treatment.”
According to the police, 26 -year -old Abhishek opened fire on Akshay during a quarrel at around 1.30 pm on Thursday night, causing serious injuries to his head. The bullet pieces were also hit on the forehead of his mother Mohini, although she was marginally injured.
Abhishek’s name is registered at Lajpat Nagar police station as ‘crook’ and there are four criminal cases against him. The official said that a case of murder has been registered against Abhishek.
