Stock market report: The Indian stock market closed down on Thursday. All -round purchases were seen in the market. At the end of the trading, the Sensex rose by 1,508 points or 1.96 percent to 78,553 and the Nifty 414 points or 1.77 percent to 23,851. Banking stocks led the market boom. The Nifty Bank closed 1,172 points or 2.21 percent to close at 54,290.

The Sensex pack had Eternational, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, Sun Pharma, SBI, Bajaj Finserv, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank, Adani Ports, M&M, Titan, HDFC Bank, Altratech Cement and NTPC Top Genners. Only Maruti Suzuki and Tech Mahindra closed in the red mark.

Sectorole index closed in green target

All the sectorole index is closed in the green mark. Auto, pharma, energy, infra, services and private banks were the highest growing index. Along with largecap, there was also a purchase in midcap and smallcap index. The Nifty Midcap 100 index rose by 312 points or 0.60 per cent to 52,657 and the Nifty Smallcap 100 index gained 60 points or 0.37 per cent at 16,410.

Expert said- This fast is seen more than short term pullback

According to Ruchit Jain, Vice President of Technical Research at Motilal Oswal, this boom seems to be much higher than a short-term pullback, as it has widespread participation of all, especially with the names of big companies as well as support from banking and financial shares.

There was a widespread rise in the stock market. 2,427 shares on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) in green mark, 1,522 shares in red mark and 157 shares closed without any change. Due to this increase, the market cap of BSE increased to Rs 419 lakh crore.

Started with a fall

The Indian stock market started with a decline due to weak global cues. At around 9.27 am, the Sensex was down 338.13 points or 0.44 percent to 76,706.16, while the Nifty was 120.75 points or 0.52 percent to 23,316.45.
