Jimmy Carter’s mother was a nurse and came to India during the World War. His mother was a frequent visitor to Daulatpur Nasirabad village and often visited the mansion of Jaildar Sarfaraz. During this time, Jimmy was in her womb. After living in India for a few years, she went back to America. But Daulatpur Nasirabad village had settled in his heart. In such a situation, when he came to know that his son was going on a tour to India. So he expressed his desire to go to Daulatpur Nasirabad village. Which Jimmy Carter completed and brought his mother to Daulatpur Nasirabad village.

The people of Daulatpur Nasirabad village liked Jimmy Carter so much that they changed the name of their village and named it ‘Carterpuri’ village. When Jimmy Carter came here, the then Prime Minister Morarji Desai was also with him. The villagers welcomed him with great pomp and gifted him Haryanvi clothes. Which he also wore.

Carter’s 77-year-old wife, Rosalynn, died on November 19, 2023, at the age of 96. Carter has a total of four children, three sons and one daughter.
