In the film Sholay, many dialogues and scenes were created to maintain the fear of Gabbar. Some scenes and dialogues were seen in the film but the censor board itself shuddered after seeing some scenes. And, he used his scissors on that scene. After which that scene was not seen in the film. The photo of one such scene is now going viral. In which the ruthless form of Gabbar Singh is clearly visible.
Which scene of Sholay was deleted?
The Instagram handle named Old is Gold has shared this pic. In which Amjad Khan is seen. And, Sachin Pilgaonkar is seen lying on the ground near him. Sachin Pilgaonkar was in the role of Ahmed in this film. And Amjad Khan was a cruel Gabbar Singh. In the photo you can see Sachin lying face down on the ground. Amjad Khan sitting near him is pulling him up by his hair. There is a gathering of bandits nearby. Everyone has weapons in their hands. This is part of the scene in which Sachin, following his father’s advice, is going to another village for a job. In between, a convoy of bandits captures them and takes them to Gabbar. After which Sachin’s dead body reaches back to his village.
Why was the scene removed from Sholay?
According to the Instagram handle, the Censor Board had removed this scene from the movie Sholay released in 1975. Their argument was that it looked extremely cruel. That means there is a lot of violence in the scene. Therefore it should be removed. After which this scene was not shown in the film. Sholay is one of the most successful films of Hindi cinema.
