Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta celebrated Holi with children at the Asha Kiran shelter home on Thursday and said that the government will ensure their proper care as the children of the children. The Chief Minister said that more children are living in the shelter home in Rohini than their prescribed capacity. He said that the Social Welfare Department, which operates this shelter home, will be instructed to make arrangements to resolve this problem. The Chief Minister said that he has asked the Social Welfare Minister to upgrade the park located in the shelter home campus with better equipment.

Rekha Gupta said that I will personally take care of this shelter home to ensure that the children get proper care and the government will do surprise inspection here in the near future. He said that she is planning to visit the shelter home more often to monitor the situation. The Chief Minister said that it was a very touching experience to talk to these children in Asha Kiran, I am happy to see that they are living in a peaceful atmosphere. The government is their guardian and it is our duty to take special care of their needs. According to a statement, Gupta also inspected the quality of the kitchen of the shelter home and the quality of food served to the children. Following the instructions of the Chief Minister, the concerned departments were instructed to improve cleaning, whiteness, renewal and infrastructure in the shelter home.
