In such a situation, their children also have to work. Every day many children are seen climbing coal sacks on the head near the coal mine of Jharia. At the age of reading and writing, these children have a burden of coal sacks on their heads. However, an attempt has also started to improve the children here.

These children who bring coal from mines are called coal scavengers. By doing this work, they get 5 to 7 hundred rupees a day. A child carrying coal said that parents do not have enough money. Therefore, we also have to work in mines.
It is believed that about 20 thousand children are engaged in this work. Often they are also killed by the mine owner or police. These children are unable to go to school. But efforts are being made to improve their lives. A similar effort has been made by retired teacher Pinaki Das. Pinaki Das teaches children living in this area.
Pinaki Das said that there was a lot of trouble seeing the children here. Then why not wondered them. Many children here have amazing talent. My effort is to read and write the children. Pinaki Das has created a classroom for children in a small place nearby. Where these children study.
It is a good initiative that efforts are being made to teach children so that they do not go to the mine. But the question is also that if they do not work, then how will the stove burn in the house.
