Cricket Record: Not Yuvraj Singh or Abhishek Sharma, but this batsman has the record of scoring the fastest half-century in India.

Fastest Half Century Record: The argument with Andrew Flintoff and then six sixes in one over by Stuart Broad…Indian fans still remember this charisma of Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh in the ICC T20 World Cup in 2007. On the basis of these sixes, Yuvraj had made many records in his name, including the record of scoring the fastest half-century in T20 cricket. This record remained in his name for many years.

However, now this record is in the name of Nepal’s Deependra Singh, who scored a half-century in just 9 balls in the match against Mongolia in 2023 and broke Yuvraj’s record. If we talk about the full member team, then this record of Yuvraj Singh is still in his name. But do you know that Yuvraj Singh does not hold the record of scoring the fastest half-century in T20 International for India.

Suryakumar Yadav has the record of fastest fifty

The Indian batsman who scored the fastest half-century in India is Suryakumar Yadav. Suryakumar Yadav scored his half-century in just 18 balls in the match against South Africa in 2022. In the match held at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, Suryakumar Yadav scored 61 runs in 22 balls with the help of 5 fours and 5 sixes. During this period he scored runs at a strike rate of 277.27. Due to Surya’s stormy innings, India scored 237 runs at the loss of 3 wickets and ultimately won the match by 16 runs.

After this inning, Surya became the Indian batsman to score the fastest half-century in T20 International in India. Earlier this record was in the name of Gautam Gambhir, who scored a half-century in 19 balls against Sri Lanka in 2009.

Abhishek equaled Yuvraj’s record

The first match of the five T20 International series between India and England was played in Kolkata. In this match, Abhishek Sharma for the Indian team had completed his half-century in just 20 balls. Abhishek had hit six sixes and three fours during his innings. Whereas Yuvraj Singh completed his half-century in just 20 balls during the series against Sri Lanka.

If we talk about the batsmen who have scored the fastest half-century in T20 International for India, then Yuvraj Singh is at the first place in this list. After this in the list is KL Rahul, who scored a half-century in 18 balls against Scotland. Suryakumar Yadav is also in joint second place. Whereas Gautam Gambhir is at third place in this list.
