Deepika Padukone is currently on maternity break. The actress was last seen in Singham Again which was released in Diwali, 2024. The actress left the promotion of the film as she was pregnant. She gave birth to a daughter in September 2024 and named her Dua. Since then, there are many speculation about the actress to return to work soon. His next big project Kalki is 2898 AD, which also has Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas. Director Nag Ashwin recently gave a big update about the film and its shooting schedule.
Earlier it was being told that shooting for Kalki 2898 AD would start in the summer of 2025. However, it has been delayed. In an event recently, Nag Ashwin confirmed that preparations for the Magnum-Opus sequel are going on and the shooting will start from December 2025. This means that Deepika Padukone will end her maternity break and will return to the set of a film in December itself. As long as there is no other film in the pipeline.
Nag Ashwin also spoke on Prabhas’ low screentime in Kalki 2898 AD and assured the fans that he would be shown more in the sequel. He said, “Prabhas will be more in the second part, because it will be focused on the characters of Karna and Ashwatthama.”
While Deepika Padukone is currently focusing on daughter, she is also seen in some events. He recently participated in the LV Fall/Winter 2025 show and surprised everyone with his beautiful look. He also walked the ramp to celebrate the completion of 25 years of Sabyasachi label in February this year.
Apart from this, Deepika Padukone recently made headlines with the Announcement of Pathan 2. Recently, the news of the film with Shah Rukh Khan was also approved. However, according to reports, the film will come on the floor next year. Shah Rukh Khan has to complete the shooting of his upcoming film King, after which work will start on Pathan 2.
