A man who was going to distribute his wedding card in Delhi died when his car caught fire on Saturday night. According to the information, this incident took place near Baba Banquet Hall of Ghazipur. According to the police, the victim died due to burns inside the car due to the fire in the car.
Visuals from the scene show that the Wagon-R is completely burnt. Especially the driver’s side of the car has been completely burnt. Officials said that the victim, a resident of Nawada, Greater Noida, was to get married on February 14. The victim’s elder brother Sumit said, “He had gone in the afternoon to distribute his wedding cards. However, when he did not return till late at night, we tried to call him but his phone was switched off. “At around 11-11.30 pm the police called us and informed us about the incident and told us that Anil is in the hospital.”
According to the victim’s brother-in-law Yogesh, he and Anil used to work together. He said, “Anil’s marriage was to take place with my sister on February 14… We received information about his death last night but we are yet to find out how the car caught fire.”
The cause of the car fire is not yet known. The police said that the victim’s body has been sent for post-mortem and the matter is being investigated.
It is noteworthy that in another incident last month, a man allegedly set his neighbor’s car on fire due to a parking dispute in Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar area. According to news agency PTI, the main accused Rahul Bhasin often had fights with Ranjeet Chauhan over parking. Due to one such dispute, he along with his friends decided to set Chauhan’s car on fire. The entire incident was captured in CCTV.
