Published by Harparkolins India, this book: ‘The Diary of a Cricketers Wife: A Veri Anusual Memor’ has been written by Pooja and Namita Kala which will be released on 29 April.
Pooja said in a statement, ‘Cheteshwar Pujara is a stubborn but cooperative person, who does not speak much but she has nothing to hide. He is spiritual but not hypocritical and he likes to tell a foolishness. His journey from the streets of Rajkot to international cricket has been unique and I have got a chance to see it closely. He said, ‘I believe that there is something for everyone in Cheteshwar Pujara’s story and that is why I wrote this book.’
Pooja Prabari, who never watched cricket in life, married Cheteshwar Pujara in 2013 and since then she got the experience of a cricketer’s daily life. After that, for a few years, he understood the nuances of the game and also took the responsibility of making nutritious doses for his vegetarian husband. The book also mentions the sacrifices of Cheteshwar’s parents.
Great cricketers Anil Kumble, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman have praised the book. Kumble and Laxman called it a book written with great impunity and honesty, then Dravid said that it must be read.
