The court has given a historic verdict after 44 years in the case of the heinous massacre in Dihuli village of Jasrana police station area of Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh. The special robbery court on Tuesday convicted three accused, captain Singh, Ramsevak and Rampal. His sentence will be announced on 18 March.
24 Dalits were killed 44 years ago
There was an attack on 18 November 1981 in Dihuli village. The gang of dacoit Santosh and Radhe attacked and killed 24 Dalits. A total of 17 accused were named in this case, out of which 13 have died, while one accused Gyanchandra alias Ginna is still absconding. The court has issued a permanent warrant against him.
Three accused convicted, one fugitive
Before the verdict, the main accused captain Singh appeared in the court on Tuesday, while the police presented Ramsevak in Mainpuri jail. The third accused Rampal was sought to attend the attendance, which was rejected by the court and ordered to appear by 12 March.
Ramsevak and Kaptan Singh were found guilty of IPC Section 302 (murder), 307 (deadly attack), 148 (malignant weapons fuss), 149 (illegal assembly), 449 (home trespass) and 450 (entering someone’s house and guilty in crime).
At the same time, Rampal was convicted in Section 120B (criminal conspiracy), 302 (murder) and 216A (giving shelter to criminals).

On 18 November 1981, at 6 pm, the dacoits were attacked in Dihuli village. Santosh and Radhe’s gang opened fire on the entire village to protest against testifying in a trial, killing 24 innocent people. After the murder, the miscreants also looted the village.
