Dinesh Karthik Took An Amazing Catch: Dinesh Karthik, former wicketkeeper player of the Indian team, has definitely retired from IPL and international cricket. But his magic still continues in SA20 2025. Here he is a part of the Paarl Royals team. The ninth match of the tournament is being played today (15 January 2025) between MI Cape Town and Paarl Royals at Boland Park in Paarl. Where he made everyone crazy by taking a brilliant catch of the opposition team’s opening batsman Azmatullah Omarzai.
During the match, this beautiful moment was seen during the bowling of Paarl Royals. Dayan Galim was bowling the fifth over of the innings for the team. Galim bowled the first ball of the over targeting the legs of Cape Town opener Omarzai. Here Umarzai completely failed to understand the ball.
The result was that the ball took the outer edge of his bat and went behind the wicket. Here Karthik, already well prepared, made no mistake and caught the ball by taking a long jump to his left side. With this the Cape Town batsman had to walk towards the pavilion with disappointed steps.
Azmatullah Umarzai faced a total of 11 balls for his team before getting out. Meanwhile, he managed to score 13 runs with the help of two fours. Batting first after losing the toss at Boland Park, MI Cape Town team managed to score 158 runs at the loss of four wickets in 20 overs. The opposition team has got a target of 159 runs to win this match.
