
After threatening to bomb the Holkar Stadium in Indore of Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association, the police conducted intensive investigation into the stadium complex, but no suspicious item was found and the threat was found to be fake. A police officer gave this information on Saturday. Tukoganj police station in-charge Jitendra Singh Yadav told ‘PTI-Bhasha’, ‘Holkar Stadium was threatened with bombing on the official email of MPCA on Friday. In the e-mail sent in English (of the Indian Armed Forces) ‘Operation Sindoor’, this stadium has been said to blow up.
He said that after informing the police by the MPCA management, four police teams and bomb disposal squads were sent to the Holkar Stadium Complex for five hours intensive investigation. Yadav said, “During the investigation, no suspicious item has been found in Holkar Stadium.”
The station in -charge said that with the help of a cyber squad of the police to take legal action, it is being ascertained who is behind sending an email with fake threatening bomb blast in Holkar Stadium.
Another official said that seeing the email, at first glance it seems that it has been sent only by ‘copy-paste’ for the purpose of mischief, although the police is conducting a detailed investigation.
The official said that in the past months, false emails have come to threaten to bomb the city airports, bank branches, hospitals and schools and one accused has been arrested in one such case.
