External Affairs Minister Jaishankar met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the sidelines of the G20 Foreign Ministers’ meeting here on Friday. Jaishankar is in Johannesburg on a two-day visit to South Africa to attend a meeting of G-20 Foreign Ministers.

He posted on ‘X’, “A meeting of G20 Foreign Ministers in Johannesburg got an opportunity to meet CPC Polit Bureau member and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi this morning.”

Jaishankar also shared some pictures of the meeting. The meeting is being held between India and China amidst the ongoing diplomatic efforts to resolve bilateral issues and regional challenges.

Jayashankar, while addressing the G20 season titled ‘Discussion on Global Geophysical Status’ on Thursday, said that the G20 is an important platform of the world’s growing multi-polarity.

He said, “The global geopolitical situation remains difficult. This includes Kovid epidemic, conflict conditions, financial pressure, food security etc. ‘

As a major forum of international economic cooperation, the G20 plays an important role in recovering the global economy from the important challenges faced by it.

Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea Republic, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, Britain, America, African Union and European Union Are included.
