A sensational revelation of fake water factory has been revealed in Basti district of Uttar Pradesh. The team of food safety officers raided a warehouse and recovered a large amount of fake water bottles. This action was taken after a complaint of the real “Vedic” water owner, after which the authorities immediately took action in the matter.

The raids revealed that fake water bottles were being packed in the names of “Vedic” and “Vedic Plus”. These bottles were dumped in the warehouse after packing. Officials recovered 2577 boxes of half a liter and 1128 boxes of one liter from the spot. The estimated price of the recovered bottles is said to be around Rs 9 lakh.

The owner of the real Vedic water had complained to the food security authorities about the sale of fake water. After this, the officials planned a surprise raid. In the raid, a large stock of fake water was recovered from the warehouse, which opened the pole of this fraud.

Investigation revealed that this warehouse belongs to the son of former Municipality President Ashok Gupta. On the basis of written complaint, a large number of fake water bottles were recovered in the raid. In the warehouse, people named Mubarak Ali and Satish Singh packed fake water and dumped it.
