New Delhi:
BCCI introduced 10 points agenda against players: BCCI has finally approved the reports regarding Team India for the last few days on Thursday. The board has issued a 10-point agenda to bring “discipline and unity” in the team, which all players will have to compulsorily follow. Under this ten-point formula, players will now have to compulsorily play domestic cricket, so players will not be able to bring even their personal staff with them in foreign tours. Also, players will not be able to take part in the shooting of personal advertisements during any series. And in case these instructions are not followed, BCCI will take appropriate disciplinary action against the players. This includes reduction in central contract retainer fees and even banning participation in the Indian Premier League. The board has implemented this agenda due to poor performance in the recent tour of New Zealand and then Australia.
Recently, after the 1-3 defeat in the Test series in Australia, where captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were on everyone’s radar, all the former greats were talking about the post-mortem of the team. Head coach Gautam Gambhir and his staff were also severely criticized. In such a situation, just a few days after returning from Australia, BCCI recently conducted a thorough review of Team India’s performance during the tour in a meeting that lasted for about six hours in Mumbai. Apart from head coach Gautam Gambhir, captain Rohit Sharma, chief selector Ajit Agarkar and another senior player participated in this meeting. The recommendations that all of them together made to the board officials in this meeting were discussed loudly in the media for the last two days. And finally, BCCI on Thursday officially approved the 10-point agenda to bring “discipline and unity” in the team.
Now only two weeks for wife/family
Now during foreign tours, wives/family members will be allowed to stay with the team for only two weeks. Apart from this, players have also been banned from taking personal staff with them. This rule will also apply to coaches and sports staff. Players will not be able to shoot advertisements during the series.
Players will have to take approval in advance
According to the Board’s policy, “In case of any exception or extraordinary situation, it will be mandatory to obtain prior approval from the Chief Selector and Head Coach. And in case of non-compliance, whatever action the Board deems appropriate will be taken against the particular player.” will take disciplinary action”
…then playing cricket in all forms will be banned.
The agenda warns, “BCCI will have the right to take action against any player who breaks the code of conduct. Under this, a particular player can be banned from participating in all the tournaments run by BCCI. This includes the Indian Premier League.” “A provision for deducting fees from the league and annual central contract is also included.”
This whim will no longer work
The board has also made a rule that from now on players will not be allowed to travel separately during tours. Also, if the match or tour ends before the scheduled time, then also in this case the particular player will not be allowed to leave early.
