Global veteran ‘Nielsen’ excited about India, new offices opened to promote innovation

Global audience measurement company Nielsen said on Monday that India’s media market is developing rapidly. This has been possible due to an increase in digital conference, changing choice of viewers and progress in data-driving insight. The company inaugurated the new office in the domestic market to promote innovation. Nilason inaugurated the new offices in Mumbai and Bengaluru to expand operations, promote development and build its tech innovation capabilities in India.

The new offices located in Goregaon in Mumbai and Whitefield in Bangalore are part of the company’s comprehensive approach to strengthen the presence in the region, promote business development and increase operations.

Nielson CEO Karthik Rao said, “The decision to set up new offices in India stems from the country’s immense business opportunities and access to high-skilled talent pool.” He said, “This expansion is in line with Nilsan’s commitment to strengthen its R&D, sales and operating capabilities, so that we will be able to provide better services to customers and promote this rapidly developing market.”

Mumbai and Bengaluru office specialty

The Mumbai office is 1,50,000 sq ft, while the Bengaluru office is spread over 1,36,000 sq ft, which provides space for dynamic and flexible work environment. Each office can have 1,500 employees, which provides a work place that supports teamwork, enables employees to share ideas, use and promote innovation.

India is an important market for Nielson

Karthik Rao said that India is an important market for Nielsen, which is playing an important role in his global growth and innovation strategy. He said, “As we continue to expand our presence, we are not only investing in a new office, but also deepening our cooperation across the industry. By creating a strong partnership, our goal is to promote innovation, promote data-driving insight and provide a higher price to businesses that navigate in rapid dynamic media markets.”

Open more offices across India

Nielsen will open more offices across India including places like Gurugram and Hyderabad. With his commitment to India’s technology and analysis ecosystem, Nielson recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Maharashtra government in the World Economic Forum 2025.

Under this agreement, Rs 450 crore will be invested in the state’s IT and ITES sector, especially 1,100 new jobs in technical roles.
