
ICC Mens Player of the month Awards: Shubman Gill, Steve Smith and Annabel Sutherland are among the nominations for the ICC Men and Women’s Player of the Month Awards for February. ICC Men’s Champions Trophy continue the excellent form in 2025, three stars of the tournament are nominated for the ICC Men Player of the Month. Gill made headlines by performing brilliantly in India’s decisive series win over England before the tournament and topped the ODI batsman ranking before his opening victory over Bangladesh. He made a big contribution of 87 and 60 in three matches against England, before a brilliant innings of 112 runs in Ahmedabad won the series.
Blackcaps all -rounder Glenn Philips made great preparations for the ICC Men Champions Trophy 2025, providing precious runs in the middle order to seal the tri -series in Pakistan in February. After an unbeaten score of 28 and 20, the tri -series in Lahore scored a brilliant 106 runs in 74 balls, including seven sixes. Then as soon as the tournament began, Philips made a brilliant start, scored 61 runs in 39 balls equally and took a great catch to dismiss Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan, ensuring that Blackcaps preserved their target in a 60 -run win in Karachi.
While Steve Smith’s form in the Champions Trophy was a bit weak, he once again captured Sri Lanka in Gaul as a stand-in captain in Australia’s 2–0 World Test Championship series. In the initial Test, he played a brilliant innings of 141 runs with Usman Khwaja, then he played a similar innings in the second Test, scored 131 runs in the first innings of nine wicket win, which gave him the player of the series title and once again got a place in the top five Test batsmen in the ICC player rankings.
ICC Women Player of the Month Player for February:
Australia’s lead leg -spinner Alana King performed brilliantly in the women’s Ashes series and won the series in the standalone Test played in Melbourne. Cyover-bunt, sting and aat-hose came in the middle order when King took four wickets for 45 runs in the first innings, after which he took five wickets for the second innings, taking five wickets for the second innings and made his name on the honor board.
In May 2023, the previous winner, Thailand’s left -handed bowler Thaipacha Puthawong again was the inspiring power behind his success in February, topped the list of wickets as his team sealed the Nepal women’s triangular series. In the beginning of the month, in a span of six days, Puthavong took 14 wickets, including four consecutive halls of three or more wickets. Not only affected by the ball, but Puthavong scored an unbeaten 25 runs before taking four wickets for 10 runs in a thrilling five -run win of Thailand on the hosts on 4 February.
Despite not winning the individual award, she was nominated for the recently announced ICC Awards 2024 (ICC Women Cricketer of the Year and ICC Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year), but Annabel Sutherland started from where he left at the end of the year and played a brilliant innings of 163 runs in the Ashes Test against England. She became the first female player to score a Test century on the field as the Player of the Match.
