A heartbreaking incident has come to light in Hulimavu, Bengaluru, where a woman’s body has been found in a suitcase. According to the police, this dreadful crime has been carried out by the woman’s husband. At present, the police is investigating the matter.
The accused husband Rakesh is a resident of Maharashtra. Rakesh called Gauri’s parents and told him that his daughter’s body is in suitcase. Rakesh has confessed his heinous crime on a phone call. The couple used to work in the private sector and work from home. For the last one year, the couple was living in Doddakannahlli.
Both Gauri and Rakesh used to work at home. But there was often a fight between them. This fight had increased so much that his neighbors also got upset.
Based on the information of Maharashtra Police, Hulimavu police reached the spot and started the investigation. Forensic and crime teams were sent to the spot and South East DCP Sarah Fatima also inspected. Police caught husband Rakesh in Pune after running away from Bengaluru. Hulimavu and Pune police tracked the call detail record, which led to the arrest of Rakesh.
Now a team from Bengaluru has left for Pune to bring suspect Rakesh for further inquiries and to bring back for legal action. The officials are continuing the investigation of the motive behind this dreadful crime.
DCP South East said Sarah Fatima said that at around 5:30 pm, we received a call about a suspect hanging case in the control room. When our Hulimavu Police Inspector reached home to investigate on the basis of a complaint, the door was closed. After entering inside, they found a suitcase in the bathroom.
Sarah Fatima said that when the FSL team opened the suitcase, they found the body of a woman inside, which had bruises. We tried to locate her husband, but she could not be found. When we discovered it, we were told that he had been detained. We have now registered a case of murder.
Sarah Fatima said, ‘We are investigating further to understand what was really happened. The couple was married two years ago. He is from Maharashtra and moved to Bengaluru for work two months ago. He works as a project manager in Hitachi, an IT company. She was a housewife and was looking for a job.
