Home Minister Amit Shah will attend CRPF Foundation Day celebrations in Neemuch

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend the CRPF Day Parade held at the group center of CRPF in Neemuch on 17 April as the chief guest. The event is part of the 86th Foundation Day celebrations of the Central Reserve Police Force. CRPF Day is celebrated every year on March 19, as the force was granted the flag in the year 1950 by the then Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This year the parade is being held on 17 April under the expanded ceremonies.

Let us know that the ‘Crown Representative Police’ was established in Neemuch on 27 July 1939 during the British rule, which was named “Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)” by the country’s first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 28 December 1949 after independence. The CRPF has played a strong role on several fronts from integration of princely princely states to internal security, anti-violent expeditions, international peace establishment, VIP security and disaster management.

Before the main ceremony, Director General Parade was organized on 15 April, which was led by CRPF Director General Gyanendra Pratap Singh. The grand ceremony to be held on April 17 will be paraded by eight troops of CRPF. After this, the Home Minister will provide Gallantry Medals to the selected CRPF personnel for bravery medals. Special performances will be presented by units like Cobra, RAF, Valley Qat and Dog Squad.

The Home Minister will pay tribute to the brave sacrifices of force at the ‘martyr’s site’ and after that he will hold talks with the families of the martyrs, parade commanders and soldiers.

CRPF’s Neemuch campus currently consists of Central Training College (CTC), Rangruti Training Center (RTC), Group Center, Range Office, Joint Hospital, First Battalion and 4 Signal Battalions, where from training to administrative and operational works, diverse activities are conducted.
