‘I want …’, Pakistani veteran Rashid Latif said this big thing about the terrorist attack in Pahalgam

Rashid latif on pahalgam attack: Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif has called the terrorist attack in Pahalgam a “heart -wrenching event” and called upon people to “appear with humanity”. Rashid Latif has called for unity and compassion in communities in view of the Pahalgam attack which shook the country. Pakistan-sponsored terrorists on Tuesday attacked tourists in the Basaron Valley, a beautiful grassland located in Pahalgam, a popular tourist destination located about 30 miles south-east from Srinagar on Tuesday, causing a stir in the entire country. So far 26 people have died in the terrorist attack.

Talking to IANS, Latif expressed deep grief over the incident and urged both Muslims and Hindus to come together in this difficult time. Latif said in an emotional statement from IANS, “Muslims and Hindus should unite in this difficult time. It was really a heartbreaking event for everyone. Let us be dealt with humanity.”

A Pakistan -based terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the attack. This attack has made the political relations between the two neighboring countries even more stressful, as the governments have canceled the visas given to people from across the border and asked them to leave the country concerned within 48 hours. The 12 -member team of India and its producers involved in the broadcast of Pakistan Super League (PSL) are also stuck in Pakistan in a dilemma about their stay.

The incident has further influenced the sports relations between the two countries, as Olympic spear throw player Arshad Nadeem has rejected the invitation of former Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra to participate in the Neeraj Chopra Classic one -day throw competition to be held in Bengaluru on 24 May. Although he cited prior commitments due to rejecting the invitation, the increasing tension between the two countries was the main reason for his decision.

In view of the 2008 Mumbai attacks, bilateral sports relations between India and Pakistan have come to a standstill. The Indian men’s cricket team recently refused to visit Pakistan for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, while the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that their women’s team will not come to India for the ICC Women’s World Cup to be played in India in September. PCB has said that the team will play their matches at neutral location
