ICC Women’s Ranking: ICC released ranking, all -rounder Deepti benefited, Mandhana is at this place


ICC Women’s Odie all-rounder rankings: Sri Lankan veteran all -rounder Chamari Athapathu has made significant progress in the ICC Women’s ODI player rankings, after her performance in the recently concluded series against New Zealand, two places in the all -rounder category have climbed up two places while India’s Deepti Sharma has reached the fifth place. Athapathu, who has been an important part of Sri Lanka’s women’s cricket for a long time, has moved up to seventh position in the ranking, shared a place with Australia’s Annabel Sutherland.

The left-handed player left behind New Zealand’s veteran all-rounder Sophie Divine despite the Sri Lankan struggle, in which he suffered a 2–0 defeat. Athapathu scored 25 runs in three ODIs and took three wickets, demonstrated his all -round capabilities even under challenging circumstances.

The T20 series will begin on March 14 in Christchurch, after which the second match will be played on the same ground on 16 March. After this, the series will conclude on March 18 with the final T20 match in Dunedin.

Meanwhile, India’s Deepti Sharma also finished fifth among all -rounders by beating Amelia Kerr, making a significant improvement in the ranking. Deepti performed well with both bat and ball, making her one of the most trusted players of this format. While Smriti Mandhana remains second in the ranking of batsmen.

Australia’s spinner Ash Gardner tops the all -rounders rankings. She has already scored three half -centuries, leading the Gujarat giant in WPL. Marjan Cap and Haley Mathews are in second and third place, while Ashes star Alana King has made it to the top 10.

In the batting rankings, England’s Nate Cyre-Bunt has finished third by beating Athapathu. Meanwhile, South African captain Laura Volwart is at the top of the batting rankings with 773 rating points, which is far ahead of Smriti Mandhana, who has 738 points.
