IIIT student committed suicide by jumping from roof

In the Airport police station area of ​​Prayagraj city, BTech first year deaf student of the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the fifth floor of his hostel. An official gave this information on Sunday. The official said that the student has been identified as Madala Rahul Chaitanya (20), a resident of Nizamabad, Telangana.

Dhumganj Assistant Police Commissioner (ACP) Ajendra Yadav said that on Saturday night, student Chaitanya allegedly jumped from the fifth floor of the hostel and after the information, the police reached the spot and admitted him to SRN Hospital where he died during treatment. Public Relations Officer of the institute Pankaj Mishra told ‘PTI-Bhasha’ that Chaitanya was enrolled in the mute-deaf class and was a BTech first year student.

He told that he was not coming to class for the last three months and was in depression due to academic pressure. Mishra told that he had informed his mother about the pressure of studies.

He said that on Saturday, at eight o’clock in the evening, another student of B.Tech first year Katrawath Akhil (20) died due to illness. He was suffering from many diseases and he died due to the heart movement. Akhil was also a resident of Telangana.

Public Relations Officer of the institute said that a three -member inquiry committee has been set up to investigate all aspects of the death of two students of the institute which will submit its report to the director in a week.
