Important hearing on Waqf law today, petitions filed demanding cancellation

Supreme Court Hearing on Waqf Law Law: The petitions filed on the Waqf Act will be heard in the Supreme Court on Wednesday. More than 20 petitions have been filed regarding this. From 2 o’clock in the afternoon, this hearing will be a bench of CJI Sanjeev Khanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar, although earlier this hearing was to be held by the bench of three judges. In fact, one party has demanded the amendment in this act to be unconstitutional and demanded it to be canceled and described it as an arbitrary and discrimination with Muslims. Petitions against the Waqf Act have been filed from the Supreme Court to stop the implementation of it. Leaders of parties like Congress, JDU, AAP, DMK, CPI have also challenged the Waqf Act. Religious institutions like Jamiat Ulema Hind, All India Muslim Personal Law Board and NGOs are also against the amendment.
