Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit’s film Hum Aapke Hain Kaun is one of the most favorite films in the history of Hindi cinema. Till date, the songs of the film, its story and the chemistry between the two love and the character of Nisha like the fans. Recently director SurajR. Barjatya refreshed old memories on Indian Idol and made many revelations about this evergreen film. He told that Madhuri Dixit did not like for the role of ‘Nisha’. He first considered Karisma Kapoor for this role.

After seeing Karishma’s acting in the love prisoner, Barjatya was so impressed with him that he wanted to take him in ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’. While returning home, he talked to his father about this and said, “He has a lot of potential. We are now writing the script of ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’ and we need to cast someone for Nisha’s role.” However, his father Rajkumar Barjatya was not sure about this and he felt that Karishma was very young for this role. He told that he has to see Mohnish Bahl’s children on-screen, which can be a big responsibility for him. She looks quite small. He said, “Let’s take someone who can carry this weight on his shoulders.”

Eventually, Nisha’s role came into Madhuri Dixit’s bag and the film became one of the best films of her career. Years later, Karishma also admitted that if she was of the right age, she would like to play Nisha in us who is yours.
