IND vs AUS: "To compete with them…" Glenn McGrath told that this bowler will wreak havoc in Sydney Test

Glenn McGrath on Mitchell Starc: Australian cricket legend and former fast bowler Glenn McGrath is confident that star pacer Mitchell Starc will play in the fifth and final Test match of the series against India to be held at the Sydney Cricket Ground. This Test is very important for both the teams and Glenn McGrath believes that Adelaide Test hero Starc is going to leave no stone unturned to make himself match fit. Starc complained of pain in ribs and back during the Boxing Day Test.

Speaking to Fox Cricket, Glenn McGrath said, “It will be up to Mitchell to play. He will do everything he can to get on the field. He is an important part of this Australian team, and when he is at his best, he is very difficult to compete with.” It is difficult. He is bowling very well. Hopefully he is going to play in Sydney.”

Starc has been Australia’s star performer this summer, taking 15 wickets in four Test matches at an average of 28.73. He also got himself scanned after the Melbourne Test. Reports suggest that Starc will be able to play in the 5th Test match only if he is able to manage the pain. He may have to play with some pain. Overall, the team management will also have to decide whether Starc is match fit or not.

The fifth match of the series is known as Pink Test because awareness about cancer is spread through this match. Therefore, this match also holds special importance in the cricket community of Australia. Talking about Border Gavaskar Trophy, the Indian team made a great start by defeating the host team by 295 runs in Perth.

After this, the Indian team was continuously seen on the backfoot. After losing by 10 wickets in the Adelaide Test, Team India was able to save the next match due to the blessings of rain in Gabba. Whereas the recently concluded Boxing Day Test was full of ups and downs in which the visiting team failed to capitalize on the opportunities and Australia took a 2-1 lead in the series.
