Ajit agarkar on jasprit bumrah’s availability: Team India has been announced for the Test series against England. The selectors have chosen Shubman Gill as Rohit Sharma’s succession and he will be the 37th Test captain of India. During this time, the chief selector of the Board of Control for Cricket in India has also updated on the availability of right -handed fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah for the five -match series.

Jaspreet Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj, famous Krishna, Arshdeep Singh, Akashdeep have been given the opportunity for the series against England. There are also Shardul Thakur and Nitish Kumar Reddy as two fast bowling all -rounders. Before the team announcement, many veterans considered Jaspreet Bumrah as a strong contender for the captain, but the reports claimed that Bumrah will neither become captains nor play all the matches of the series due to workload management.

Jasprit Bumrah had complained of back pain during the last match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series, due to which he was out of Team India for a long time. In such a situation, the selectors do not want to take any risk about Bumrah and Ajit Agarkar has indicated this in his press conference.

Speaking about the availability of Jasprit Bumrah, Ajit Agarkar said, “As far as the physio and doctors have told us, I don’t think it will be available for all five Tests. Whether it is four or three, we will see how the series goes and how it is working. Even if he is fit for 3-4 Tests, he will be a property for us. He is more important for us.

Agarkar further said, “When you manage people, there is a lot that gets away from you. We have talked to him. He knows where his body is. KL is not really, he has captained some time ago, he is a quality player and hope that he will play a big series. He was more about his workload management with Bumrah.”

Right-handed batsman Shubman Gill has been appointed as the new Test captain for India, while wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has been made vice-captain. The Indian cricket team is set to visit England in 2025 for the five-match Test series as part of the 2025-2027 ICC World Test Championship.

It will be India’s first bilateral series since Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s retirement from Test cricket earlier this month.
