Foreign Ministry spokesman Jaiswal said on Friday, March 21 that visas and immigration cases come under the right of that country. He suggested that America has the right to decide on such internal affairs.
He said, “We hope that when foreign nationals come to India, they will follow our laws and rules. Similarly, we hope that when Indian citizens are abroad, they should also follow local laws and rules.”
Speaking in weekly briefing, he also assured the students that if they face any difficulty, the Indian Embassy in the US will help them. He said that a large number of Indians are studying in American universities and the government wants to strengthen educational relations with America.
He said, “If an Indian student is facing a problem, the embassy is present to help their good (and) safety. If an Indian student wants help then we will continue it.”
