Relations between India and America have been going on the right track for a long time… and this train will pick up speed after Donald Trump takes over as President. Tech billionaire Elon Musk is also giving similar indications. While hosting Indian business leaders, Elon Musk recently said that relations between India and America are trending ‘positively’. He also said that he wants the business relations between India and America to progress faster.
Indian entrepreneurs, led by the India Global Forum (IGF), toured the company’s latest space research facilities and witnessed the successful launch of SpaceX’s Starship Flight 7. During Elon Musk’s conversation with Indian entrepreneurs, he said that he is in favor of the possibility of cooperation between America and India, especially in the fields of technology and space research. During the session, Musk was quoted as saying, ‘Things are going positive. I am definitely in favor of reducing trade barriers to increase trade between America and India.
Elon Musk described India as one of the ‘ancient civilizations’ and a very ‘great and very complex civilization’. The meeting comes just days before Donald Trump’s inauguration as US President for a second term on Monday and Musk’s proposed role in his top team as co-chair of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Manoj Ladwa, Founder, IGF said, ‘This event underlines the growing importance of collaboration between India and global leaders in shaping a sustainable and technology-driven future.’ He said, “As Trump becomes president of the world’s most powerful democracy, meaningful conversations are more important than ever in these challenging times.”
Pointing towards global challenges, Elon Musk said, ‘Our mission at the India Global Forum is to bring together global leaders and innovators to tackle the defining challenges of our time… I believe that India’s rise is limitless. The opportunity presents itself, and this meeting symbolizes the potential of a powerful partnership.’
