India will be interested in hosting wtc final 2027, BCCI will send proposal to ICC

The Cricket Board of India (BCCI) is considering hosting the World Test Championship (WTC) final of the 2025-2027 cycle in the country. And a proposal in this regard will be formalized later. England has so far hosted WTC title matches at Hampshire and Oval respectively in 2021 and 2023.

According to sources, there was a discussion in this regard during the main executive committee of the ICC in Zimbabwe last month where the BCCI was represented by IPL President Arun Dhumal. Former BCCI Secretary Jai Shah is the current ICC President after taking over from Greg Barkle in December 2024. A source indicated, ‘If India reaches the next WTC final, it will be a great opportunity for fans. But even if India does not play in the final, many people will be interested in the match between two other top teams.

Bomb threats in Arun Jaitley Stadium, but security increased
As part of another news, Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) received the bomb threat of bomb along with the Delhi Police team, along with the Bomb Reported Squad (BDS) and ‘Dog Squad’ team Arun Jaitley Stadium reached the rumor. An officer gave information about this. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Madhya) M Harsh Vardhan said, ‘This morning a mail was found in Arun Jaitley Stadium regarding the threat of the bomb. A detailed investigation was done and nothing suspect was found. We are investigating further in the case.

DDCA Secretary Ashok Sharma told PTI, ‘We were threatened with an email at the address of DDCA. We immediately sent it to Delhi Police. The bomb squad of Delhi Police came and investigated the entire stadium in which nothing was found. A senior Delhi Police official said that several squads were immediately sent to the stadium and the entire space was well investigated.
