  1. Military officials said that Pakistan tried to target military bases in Jammu, Pathankot and Udhampur. Indian armed forces effectively fought the Pakistani drone and their efforts were thwarted.
  2. In view of the increasing tension between India and Pakistan, blackouts were implemented in many parts of Kachch and Banaskantha, the border districts of Gujarat. Both Kutch and Banaskantha districts share the border with Pakistan.

Officials have confirmed that as a precaution to prevent any aggressive act of Pakistan, it has been completely black out in many parts of Kutch including Bhuj, Nalia, Nakhatrana and Gandhidham towns. He said that similarly blackout has been declared in many villages of Suigam taluka in Banaskantha district.
  4. Earlier, during the day, debris of a ‘drone’ was found at a remote place near Khawda village in Kutch district of Gujarat. This region is close to India and Pakistan border.
  5. In the border Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan, hearing heavy shelling voices for about an hour between blackouts. A top police officer confirmed that the sounds of heavy shelling were heard in Jaisalmer and the security forces were on high alert.
  6. Police said that after some time, the sounds of the blasts were heard again, which caused panic among the people. Policemen are patrolling in the area. Sirens were played many times in Barmer too. The entire western region of the state has a blackout and security forces are cautious.
  7. In view of the increasing tension on the international border, the administration has issued a ‘red alert’ in the border districts of Rajasthan. In Ganganagar district, the police issued a ‘red alert’ asking citizens to stay in homes and close the lights.
  8. The police wrote on ‘X’, ‘There is a red alert, everyone should stay in their homes, keep all kinds of lights closed. ” District Collector Dr. Manju, in a statement, appealed to keep the lights lit by the inverter and generator closed during the blackout.
  9. In Barmer, the railway station, main market, district collectorate and other places and siren played for the fifth consecutive time. The blackout siren rang in the city of Jaisalmer. People stopped the lights of their homes. Sources said that along with blackouts in Jaisalmer, there were blasts. The explosion occurred due to a drone attack by Pakistan in Jaisalmer-population.
  10. There was a completely blackout in Bikaner too. District Magistrate Namrata Vrishni has also issued blackout orders in Bikaner tehsil. The blackout will continue till further orders. According to the District Collector instructions of Jodhpur, black out has been implemented with immediate effect.
