In January, Pant was made the captain of LSG after a record of a record of Rs 27 crore by the Lucknow -based franchise in auction in Jeddah last year. Puran told IANS, “We have a good chance, we have a very balanced team with experienced and young players. We are eager to lead with experienced players.”
West Indies wicketkeeper-batsman was one of the five players retained by franchise for IPL 2025. On Pant’s appointment as LSG captain, Puran said, “Yes, again, there is a better, fresh air. He also appreciated the youth for fearless performance in the T20 format. “Of course, the rules have changed. The players have also become better. Both batsmen and bowlers are very talented. When he was asked about the things that he likes about India, the former West Indies captain replied, “I like most things about India, of course. Obviously.
